Speaker group /Google server issue

I am having trouble adding some devices to speaker groups. When I select the device to add, I get a message saying "trouble communicating with Google" and the speaker doesn't get added. It will play if I select it manually but I can't add to the group. I have reset my device, checked the firmware, cleared the cache in the Google Home app, reset my modem, and done all the things. It used to work fine on the speaker group until about a couple of months ago when I started getting this error message. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I appreciate your effort and time completing previous troubleshooting steps. To continue addressing this situation, can you please answer the following questions?

  • What model of devices are you trying to use in the speaker group?
  • Could you please verify if your devices are connected to the same wifi network or linked to the same account?
