Hello,
I have 3 Bose Speakers 300s, 4 Bose Speaker 500s,
The Google Home app version: 3.36.56
Google Assistant version: 1.9.136701
Since a Google Home update on my iPhone on July 14th,, I've been unable to launch a speakers group. (exp
Groupe living room for SP1 and SP2
Group Relax area for SP3 and SP4)
Neither responds to the command, OK google plays station xx on group xx
When I start the voice command "OK Google, play radio xxxx... on Living Room" the speaker responds. I play radio xxxx from TuneIn on SP1 and nothing happens, it's like I hadn't issued any command.
Before this update, when I started the voice command "OK Google, play radio xxxx... on Living Room," the speaker responds, "I play radio xxxx from TuneIn on Living Room," and I got the requested station.
If I ask for a station without specifying the group or speaker, it gives me the name of the speaker that executes the command and plays it but only after 5 or 10 minutes.
1. I reset all the speakers to factory settings, but no change.
2. I uninstalled and reinstalled Google Home and Assistant, no change.
3. I rebooted my fiber box, but that didn't change anything.
4 Check that all speakers are on the same network 5 ghz
5 I renamed the groups and recreated a new home, no change.
6 Clear Bose association with assistant, but no change.
7 Open a case at Google europe level1 no solution, to my problem
8 Open a case at Google level 2 I've been waiting for a response from Bose for 5 months
9 Open a case at Bose level 2, I''ve been waiting for a response from Bose for a week
10 open a case at TunnIn level 2 I've been waiting for a response from Tuning for a week
About The delay before to play a station, it's like the assistant can't find its way to TunIn or the Assistant can no longer distinguish a group from a single speaker.
Since TunnIn's disagreement with public radio in France, you can access stations from this public radio station without going through TunnIn.
Well, if you request a station from this public radio station, it plays immediately, without delay.
My impression is that the basic consumer is not a value for these companies. They focus their R&D on Artificial intelligence because it's where they'll make money. Maybe in the future I'll start looking at Asian products instead of ....

Hi @Jiiro,
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear you've been having problems with your speaker group since May 2025. I understand your concern with your Bose speakers not working as expected with your setup, especially since you've already been in touch with our Google support team. I'm here to help clarify what's happening.
While you can group Google Nest speakers to play synchronized media, this feature is limited to Google's own devices. Currently, Bose speakers are not compatible with Google's speaker group functionality. You can check this article to see a full list of compatible devices.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Gabriela

Hi Gabriela,
I'm sorry to disagree with you when you write that this future is limited to Google devices.
I've had my Bose speakers working normally in groups since 2020, they stop at the Google's latest update in July, this feature no longer works.
To be more precise, the voice command to ask to "play on a group" no longer works.
The Assistant remains silent and no commands are executed.
If I manually activate a group that I've predefined, it works fine, my music is played on that group.
I'm not the only one; I saw on a forum that several people had the same problem.

Thank you for looking into this problem that has been driving me crazy for months.
Since this morning 30/09/2025 , Voice Cast has been unconfigured on my speakers Apps and it is impossible to setup again. The Assistant no longer activates Voice Cast yet, on TuneIn.
Strange voice Cast do not works with TuneIn but it's work with RADIO FRANCE
Chromecast works. You will notice that I differentiate Chromecast and Voice Cast.
Saw smilar case this morning on REdIT
