Speaker on each side of bed, two devices

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a Google speaker but I have some questions.

I'm thinking of getting a hub on each side of the bed for me and my husband. We usually listen to a podcast together when we go to sleep so it would be nice to have a speaker on each side.

If we both are connected to the speakers, what would happen if I'm watching a reel with sound, would that interfere with what's playing on the speaker? If I play from my phone or if he is playing on his?

Let say that i wake up early in the morning and look at a reel, will that be playing on both speakers since I played the podcast on both speakers the night before?

I usually wake up to radio playing, it would be nice the play it on my speaker and not both. Will it play on both since I was connected to both the day before?

I don't know if I'm over thinking this or if it is hard to share speakers?

Br,

Siri

Hi Siri,

We appreciate your interest in getting Google Home speakers!

You can create a speaker group so both speakers will play the podcast. Just include the speaker group name in the command. I.e., “Hey Google, listen to [podcast] on [speaker group].”

You and your husband can personalize each Google Home speaker depending on your needs. Set up both speakers in your account in the Google Home app, and then share the home with your husband by sending an invitation to join your home.

Additionally, you can browse all the features of a Google Home device. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Regards,
Alex
