Hello!
My new Xiaomi IR control speaker is not connecting to the Google Home app showing (kGSKErrorDomain error -83902.) error. The first time I used this device in my country was completely fine. After a couple of weeks, I moved to Finland and after that, it’s not connecting. I have reset the speaker and created a new Gmail on the existing location just to make sure the location and language stay the same. Nothing worked. Anybody can help?

Hi Tayef1746,
Thanks for reaching out. Are you using Android or iOS? Is the Google Home app updated? What language are you using? You can change your phone's language to English, and your Google account language is set to English. Also, try to use another phone to isolate this.
Regards,
Juni

Hi, I have the same problem. I have 2x Xiaomi Smart Speaker with IR control and both cannot connect to WiFi. They use to work until the end of October 2023, then disconnected from the WiFi. Google Home can see the device, but refuses to connect to the WiFi.

Hi Mal3,
Thanks for posting. You can try to factory reset your device and observe if it makes a difference.

Hi Juni
I have reset the devices ( I have 2) and they both have the same result, cannot connect to WiFi. Bot devices stopped working at the end of October. I have also tried to add the device on a friends home with the same result. I think it may be a regional issue.

Hey Mal3,
Thanks for confirming. We appreciate your efforts, and we're sorry for the inconvenience. Since it's happening with your Xiaomi Smart Speaker device, it's best to contact the manufacturer for additional support. Please note that we have very limited support for third-party speakers with built-in Google Assistants, like the Xiaomi Smart Speaker.
Best,
Juni
