I have taken some of my devices and setup a separate network using another set of google wifi pucks. I have 1 HD google TV, 1 Nest hub, 2 nest mini 1st gen, 1 nest mini 2nd gen, and 1 google home 1st gen in this set.
I am trying to play music (I Heart Radio) across the speakers in a group.
My problem is that the speakers have become completely unusable. The volume is always super low, I cannot update by touching the device even though it shows the dots indicating the volume is being raised and lowered. I also have the same problem from the HOME app. The only thing that allows me partial control is verbally asking for the volume to be raised. Unfortunately this too does not work well because the max volume (by my estimation) is like a 3 out of 10.
What's interesting is when I say "Hey Google", the speaker screams back at me (I have the volume set to the max), but when it starts playing music (sometimes it says it's starting, but never does!), volume is back to a 3 out of 10.
I've seen multiple threads about other devices that have had similar issues, but they seem to be resolved.
I spent 2.5hrs on the phone the other day with Google support. They had me remove all the devices from my account, reset them, re-add them, and with no results.
