I have a Nest audio and a nest Hub, and when ever they play music together the audio cuts out and stutters, and eventually stops. indiviually they play fine. The wifi is strong in both places the devices are setup. I used to use a chromecast to stream audio along with the nest audio, and they worked fine in the same location, so it seems the nest Hub is the issue? This appears to be a common issue as i have seen a lot of other threads here and on reddit regarding the problem but not found a solution. Cheers

I am noticing something similar. I can cast to all my devices individually but the speaker group is very intermittent. Started happening in the last two weeks and had been solid previously. Wifi is strong everywhere in my house-- I have multiple ubiquti access points...

Hey folks,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I understand the feeling when you're having issues playing music in a speaker group. Let's dig deeper - when did the issue start? How far are your speakers from the router? Which Nest Hub do you have (1st, 2nd gen)? Have you changed any settings on your router lately? Are you using a dual-band router?
Let's try these steps below:
Let me know how it goes.

I have the same issue. Started a month or 2 ago after working without problems. A week ago it worked for one day. Tried your troubleshooting with no luck

Hi freddiecool,
We appreciate your efforts. Just an added question: how many speakers do you have in a group? How far are they from the router? Are you using a dual-band router? Are you having issues playing music on individual devices?
Looking forward to your response.

The speaker group is downstairs, abort 5-7meters from The router. So good signal. I have dual band and yes i turned off band steering. The speakers work perfectly individually

Hey freddiecool,
Let's try moving 2 of your speakers within 5 feet away from the router and see if they will have the same issue. Also, please provide the list of devices on your speaker group together with the firmware version, and make/model of your router.
Cheers,
Muddi

It has to do with the type of file that gets cast. I cast a 128kbs wave file and it is fine. I have a 358kbps wave file and it causes the log up. Very repeatable here. I switched to the 128kbp files for now.

I'll try moving them and list the devices

Still broken. This issue has something to do with the type of file cast and is something that was introduced recently. I can cast a 128 kbps file to my speaker group all day. I have a 358kbps file that repeatedly locks up.
I'd attach files but I can't seem to.

Hey freddiecool,
How was your device? Have you tried moving your devices near the router? Also, what are the lists of devices on your speaker group?
@Wpiman: Thank you for that information.

Muddi
