Spotify and Google Device Connection Issues

Hi all,

Unable to Play spotify from my Pixel 8 Pro to ANY of my various Google Devices (Home, Mini, Nest, etc.). Doesn't matter which device, where I am or what playlist, it just stays on "connecting" forever.

I've rebooted my device(s) rebooted my router, mesh system etc. and nothing works. I can connect perfectly (and quickly) to my Bose SoundTouch speakers so this seems directly related to Google devices and Spotify.  All apps, devices, etc. are up to date with firmwars.

It does seem to be a known issue, but each issue seems slightly different in description.

Almost too many threads to find the exact issue but if anyone can link me to an ongoing thread that would be great so I can get the latest, thank you!

To better assist you, please answer the following questions: 

• Have you ever been able to play Spotify from your phone to a Google Nest speaker?
• When did the inconvenience start?
• Are the speakers devices under the same wifi network as your phone?
• Does this issue occur with other apps, such as YouTube?
• When did the inconvenience start?
• Do you have Spotify Premium?

For now, let’s try these troubleshooting steps: 

• Verify that the Google account linked to your Google Home device is the same one you're using on your mobile device. For instructions, refer to this article: Check which Google account is linked to a speaker or display.  
• Follow these steps to unlink Spotify and relink again. Additionally, make sure that Spotify is set as a music default service.
