Spotify and nest gen 2

Hi I would like to check, why my google nest hub gen 2 having this issue. while playing Spotify in nest hub and always play half of the song it will jump out from the apps and stop the music.. what’s the issue ? Anyone can help me ?

Here are a few things you can try:

  1. Make sure that your Google Nest Hub Gen 2 is up to date with the latest software. You can do this by going to the Google Home app and tapping on the Settings icon. Then, select Device settings and then Google Nest Hub Gen 2. Finally, tap on Software update and check for any updates.
  2. Make sure that your Spotify app is also up to date. You can do this by opening the Google Play Store or the App Store and searching for "Spotify." Then, tap on the Update button if there is one available.
  3. Restart your Google Nest Hub Gen 2. To do this, unplug the device from the power outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
  4. Try playing Spotify on a different device to see if the issue is with your Google Nest Hub Gen 2 or with Spotify itself.
  5. If you've tried all of the above and you're still having trouble, you can contact Spotify support for help. You can do this by going to the Spotify website and clicking on the Contact us link.

hi, when I open my google home and clicked on the setting logo, inside doesn’t have device setting.

Hi I try on iPad and phone all working fine only google hub gen 2 having this issue. My firmware it’s the latest 1.56.324896. And I had updated my Spotify. But still having the same issue.. it will still stop music and kicked out from Spotify. 

I have exactly the same issue !!!, I already reset factory settings on my google nest also deleted my home and add a new one , I checked every possible way that it could affect , my Spotify account works perfectly fine in other devices , it’s just the google nest , can someone help us please . 

Yeah! I tried all type of reset/delete apps but only google nest don’t works well. Keep kicking out and stop playing songs with Spotify.. appreciate if anyone can help us! TIA! 

For sure ! We need help asap ! 🥲🥲. I already contacted Spotify but it’s definitely the google nest problem .

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Google Nest Hub. Before we try some steps, a few things I'd like to ask-- when did the issue start to happen? Does it happen every time when using Spotify?

 

Let's try these steps first and see if this would make any changes.

 

  1. Set your music to "No default player".
  2. Unlink your Spotify account.
  3. Reboot your Google Nest Hub (unplug it from the power source for few minutes)
  4. As soon as it is plugged in, link your Spotify account.

Let me know if these steps work.

I had tried this step you instructed but still doesn’t work. 

Since I receive this set start to have this issue.

 

yes, happened every single time once I played music on Spotify.

Hi ! Thank you for replying , I have done everything , I have reset it , I even did the factory reset , I did it with a different goggle account , also I deleted the home and then create a new one , but nothing is working , at this point I’m very concerned , I’m about to buy an Alexa because of this . The only thing that I did different is that I moved out to another state . But it shouldn’t be a problem since I am resenting everything and setting up all ! Unlinking and linking the Spotify account . But nothings works I really don’t know what to do at this point . It only happens with the google nest , never happens in my car neither on my cellphone or tv or laptop . It’s the google nest.
