Spotify music playing would pause after few songs. Google hub will show music is playing, timer counting, timeline bar moving but no sound all of a sudden.
Skip to next songs will resolve issue.
Change music to play on phone and cast to hub again will resolve the issue.
Already done unlink account, clear cache on both Google home app and spotify, restart hub and phone.
Home wifi network speed stable and no issues with other devices. router is less than 4meters away to phone and nest hub

Hello Uk_shoes,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
We're sorry to hear about this experience with your Google Nest display. I also appreciate all the steps you tried in an attempt at resolving this. Since you're already done with some steps, I'd like to ask you to perform a complete reset on your Google Nest Hub. That way, we can check if you will experience the same thing.
Here's how to perform a complete reset: Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Princess

Factory resetted display but still no change to the interruption. No matter whether I play directly from display unit or cast from phone. Never have similar issue when cast to TV or play music on phone. Not internet issue as tested on phone and in same room of display good coverage at 250/mbps

Hello Uk_shoes,
Thanks for trying. To further isolate the issue, please try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Nest display). Let's see if your device will have the same behavior when connected to a different network.
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

I already changed internet provider recently. Brand new wifi network name much quicker speed better coverage. So same behaviour at different wifi network.

Hi there,
Sorry for the delays. To confirm, does the same thing happen when you play music from different music services like YouTube Music? What is the current firmware version of your Nest Hub? Also, what is the make and model of your router?
Cheers,
Muddi

Hey Uk_shoes,
Thanks for the information. Just an added question: is the iPv6 enabled on your router? if yes, please try to disable it and see if your device will have the same behavior.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hi Muddi, no iPv6 is not enabled.

Hi @Muddi would appreciate any further advise. It's been 3 weeks. Thanks.

Maybe you should update to the latest version to reduce this load

Maybe you should update to the latest version at spotify premium to limit this error

Thanks Cherylbass, I'm not prepared to pay £10.99/mth Premium price to test the theory.
I don't see how being premium with same firmware will be of any help, as premium account doesn't reinstall the app, but only change my spotify account functions? Welcome your insight.
Or are u suggesting to install spotify from the link u posted and not from spotify official site?

I do have Spotify premium and having this issue on all my devices...hub and several minis and a clock display.

Oh dear so is a common and known issue then. That's frustrating.

We are also having this issue.

I have the same issue and the solution i am using is to connect to the hub with bluetooth and use the hub as a bluetooth speaker.

I’m also having this issue, have reset home hub, and very frustrating , have premium Spotify, no hard router, use Router Pods! Would like a resolution as I just purchased google home hub max and thinking about returning this

Same setup, same issue. All other music and video apps work, only Spotify.
Spotify does work on my non display devices though (I e. Regular smart speakers)

Google said that they are no longer maintaining business with several companies when really they want you to use THEIR music app, only. Load of b0llicks. All I use it for is spotify.

I have the same issue. Any updates on a resolution here? Sounds like multiple people are having this problem.
