Spotify won’t connect to nest mini

Emma153

My Spotify was connected but one day started randomly dropping out. I tried rebootingw nest and wifi many times, redownloading google home app, and finally unlinking Spotify account with hope to re-link.
It now won’t let me re-link my Spotify account in the google home app and tells me “something went wrong. Try again”

Normally, you have to use your email id to log into Spotify, even when linking it with Google Home.

However, if you are having a hard time with that, you can also use your ‘Device Username’ to set them up.

You can find this username in the receipt of your Spotify subscription payment or your account information on the Spotify website. You can also create a ‘Device Password’ for your account there.

You need both the username and password to link your Spotify account this way.

Follow the below-mentioned steps to do so.

Open the ‘Google Home’ app.
Click on the microphone.
Tap on the ‘Compass’ icon.
Type ‘Spotify’ in the search bar.
Click on it to link your Google Home with Spotify.
Follow the instructions, and enter the ‘Device Username’ and the ‘Device Password’ here.
Reset Your Google Home
If none of the solutions worked for you, unfortunately, it is time to reset your device.

To factory reset your Google Home device, press the microphone button and hold it for 15-30 seconds until you hear an alert about your device resetting.

Once that is done, you have to set up your Google Home device from scratch and then link your Spotify account. While you’re at it, you can even install your Google Home in your Car.

Before doing a reset, you should also know that a reset can erase any pre-saved data on the device, so make sure to go for this step only if it is your last resort.

Voice Commands to Control Spotify using Your Google Home
Google Home lets you interact with many services just by using the words “OK, Google”.

In the same way, you can use some particular voice commands to control Spotify via your Google device.

You can use these commands to search for exact results for your music of interest.

You can give commands to listen to a particular song, album, or podcast or ask Spotify to stop playing.

You can use any of the following voice commands to navigate through Spotify via Google Home.

Pause this song on Spotify
Play some pop music on Spotify
Turn down the volume on Spotify
Play my Daily Mix 1 on Spotify
Play my Discover Weekly on Spotify

This may help you,
