Me: "What's 2+2?"
Google: "Sorry, I didn't understand, but I found something similar, do you want to know the history of numbers?"
How do I stop it doing that? If it doesn't understand, just stop there, or even better let me repeat my command.
That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's see what's going on.
To confirm, is it only happening to this particular question? Was it working before? Make sure your devices are connected to the same network. Could you try reinstalling your Google Home and Google Assistant app? Give rebooting your Google Home a try to see if that helps.
It's always done it, at which point it was a fresh install of the app. The Google Home has been reset a few times for other reasons and it still does it. It's for any question. Doesn't everyone get these offers?
Thanks for the update. I tried the same question on my end and it works fine. Can you try doing the same command on the Google Assistant in your phone? Also, try rephrasing your question to see if you'll get the same result.
It usually works, but it's when it doesn't hear me, or I ask a question it doesn't understand.
On my phone I can talk complete mumbled garbage, it makes the best sentence it can of it, then looks it up on the web.
