Please stop closing threads after only 24 hours. Do you not realise some of us aren't glued to our computers 24/7? It can take up to 3 days for me to read an email.

Hey there,
Sorry for any confusion or frustration. If threads have no activity on them, we close those to keep content fresh. We are happy to keep threads open for longer as long as you let us know. Please let me know if you have any questions from here, as I would be happy to review.
Best regards,
Jake

Surely you can assume someone might take a few days to reply? I don't see why I have to tell you every time I ask a question. I can appreciate you closing threads, but leaving it for say 5 days would be better.

No, it didn't. Sort it.

Hey SunnyRio,
We understand how you feel. Let's get to the bottom of this. Could you help us verify what specific Nest device or Google product you are having an issue with? Please tell us more details about your concern so we can help you properly.
Looking forward to your response.
Cheers,
Muddi

If you left threads open for 3 days instead of 1, people would have a chance to respond.

Hi SunnyRio,
We hear you. We'll keep this thread open for 3 more days and will wait for your info.
Best,
Princess

Uh.... you need to do that with ALL the threads.

Hi SunnyRio,
We apologize if the threads were closed sooner than you would have liked. As Community Specialists, we occasionally do a bit of housekeeping to keep the conversations in our community fresh and relevant. This includes locking threads after a period of inactivity. We invite you to search the Community to see if a discussion is open and ongoing about your topic. If not, feel free to start a new thread.
Best,
Princess

You need to realise some people aren't glued to their computer so might take more than 24 hours to reply. 3 days would be more sensible. Most things I ask about, I can't continue the conversation because you've closed it. Making this forum absolutely useless. No other forum has a 24 hour limit!

Hey SunnyRio,
We appreciate the feedback. Please note that we are giving enough time for the users to respond on threads. We keep threads open for 5 days before closing it and we only close the threads if there are no more activities from users. Please understand that we occasionally do a bit of housekeeping to keep the conversations in our community fresh and relevant.
Moving forward, let us know your concern about your Google Home/Nest device so we can assist you further.
Cheers,
Muddi

So that's only 5 days provided I answer every 24 hours or less. Not convenient at all. Some people have a life outside emails.

Hey SunnyRio,
I understand. We'd love to assist you - could you tell us your concern about Google Home/Nest devices.
I'll wait for your response.
Cheers,
Muddi

How many times, I want the conversations to stay open long enough for me to respond.
11-13-2022 10:30 PM
Hey SunnyRio,
We understand that. We'll take this as feedback, and pass it along to the team. Let us know if you have other concerns about the Community or Google Home/Nest device, and we're glad to assist you further.
Cheers,
Muddi
