Stopping both Google voice assistants responding

WallaItsJosh
Community Member

Hi,

I now have both a Google Pixel 7 Pro and a Nest Mini.

When I use the command "Hey Google" both my phone and Nest Mini respond individually.

Obviously when I'm out and about, my phone will be fine to use but when at home and the Nest Mini is turned on, is there a way to stop my phone from responding as well as the Nest?

What's your best solution for this?

TIA

Hi David and Dan. Thanks for the follow up, I've only just got around to this.

I've read through the steps as shown in the article and both my phone and nest are linked to the same account but my phone still responds to the Hey Google command.

Any further advice?

Hello WallaItsJosh,

We appreciate the update. Please ensure that your Google Pixel 7 Pro is up-to-date. Clear the cache on both your Google Home and Google Assistant apps. Power cycle your phone afterwards and check if the issue persists.

Best,
Lovely
