Stuck in Recovery Mode Loop

My Nest Hub Max is stuck in Recovery Mode. I've tried following the on screen instructions to factory restore the device (holding down volume buttons for 10 seconds), but the device just boots back in to recovery mode every single time. 

The power cable is the original one that came with the device. I've tried just about every other combination of plugging in the device and holding down the buttons, but I always end up at the same spot.

To assist you further, please provide me with the following information:

  • Did you first notice the stuck on G logo issue?
  • Was the device already in this state when you first discovered it?
  • Were you interacting with the device when it happened?
  • Did you unplug the device before you noticed the issue?
  • Was there a power outage shortly before you discovered the issue?
  • When did this issue first begin?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Hold down the volume buttons and plug in the power cord at the same time. While you plug the power cord back in.
  • Wait for the device to turn on.
  • Release the volume buttons.
  • Once the device is in recovery mode, press and hold both volume buttons for 10 seconds.

Hi, Jeremy!

  • Yes, a few months back, the device did seem stuck on the G logo. If I remember correctly, I unplugged it after it did that, held down both volume keys, then plugged the device in. After that, it booted into recovery mode, then began the current issue I'm having.
  • The device seemed to be functioning normally when I went to bed one night, but had the stuck G logo when I woke up.
  • No power outages that I know of

I'm trying those steps you suggested, but sadly , still getting the same result.
