Suddenly won’t connect some items to Grid connect

Micarli65

My Google Nest mini Gen 2, & my Google home suddenly today have stopped connecting with my ‘Grid Connect’.

Some things are still working, like my bedside lamps, and electric blankets, which are all connected to the same board as my nest, but it’s not turning on the main bedroom light, or hallway light suddenly, and it’s saying that  “Grid Connect is unavailable right now “

None of the settings have been changed at all, everything was fine yesterday, but it now will not connect to the Grid Connect for just those 2 items.

Neither will my Google home machine either.

I don’t know what to do to fix it, or why it’s suddenly done that..?

Hey Micarli65,

Thanks for visiting the Community. I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should, let’s get this sorted out.

A few questions: were there any recent changes to your network or set up? Also, are your Grid Connect devices still working on its native app?

Give these steps a try:

  • Unlink your Grid Connect account.
  • Reboot your router and Google Home to refresh the connection.
  • Reinstall your Google Home app and make sure all your apps are updated.
  • Link back your Grid Connect account
  • Make sure your Grid Connect devices are in the correct room on the Google Home app.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Alex
