Sunrise Alarm not working

Hey everyone,

I currently have difficulty getting my Philips Hue lights to brighten 30 minutes before my alarm. I have used the command 'Turn on Gentle Wake up'. I have also tried to switch off gentle wake up and back on again.

Any help?

Thanks

Hey jordanhome,

Thanks for bringing this up and we're sorry to hear about this experience.

A few questions-- what Google Home/Nest device do you have? How many Philips Hue lights are linked to your Google Home? Also, was it working before?

Let's give these steps a try:

  • Unplug the power of your router/modem, Google Home speaker and your Philips Hue lights.
  • From the Home app, select your lights and tap the gear icon(settings) on the upper right corner. As soon as you select settings, unlink your Philips Hue account and remove your bulb from the lamp and once done, link back your Philips Hue account.

Tell me how it goes.

Best,
Dan

Hello!

The device I got is the Google Nest Mini. I got 12 philips lights linked to my Google Home. It was working when I was in my previous household. I'm currently trying to sync two lights. One is a normal hue colour b22 bulb, the other is a Hue Go 2 (which I'm not sure whether you can truly switch it off).

What I tried:

I switched off the router and Nest Mini and unplugged the hue light.

I unlinked  Philips Hue and switched on the router.

Linked Philips Hue

Switched on the Nest Mini

Added back Hue Light.

I tried to test by switch off Gentle Wake up and then turning it back on and then setting an alarm 35 minutes later but did not work

Hi jordanhome,

We appreciate all the details you've shared. As long as your devices are all connected withing the same Wi-Fi network, that should work. Since you already tried some steps, can we try the command "OK Google, sync my devices".

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Princess
