Themed timers on Nest Hub Max stopped working

I have a Nest Hub Max in the kitchen. I used to have themed timers, for example, "set a chicken timer" and it used to have a chicken come up and the alarm sound would be different. The same for a bunch of stuff; rice, sausages, croissants etc. 

This is no longer the case. It still names the timer with what I say, but the alarm is the same for all. 

Whilst it's a bit gimmicky I liked it, but can't figure out how to get it back. Is it a setting somewhere perhaps?

Same here. I even use the troubleshooting thing built into nest twice but I got no response and like you said they're still no icons

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for this experience.

I'd like to dig deeper into this: what country are you from? Were there any changes made before this issue started? What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Go ahead and try to change the Assistant language to either English US or English CA. After that, reboot your display and ask to create a themed timer again.

Hi. I'm in the UK. No changes that we've made to my knowledge. 

 
I checked the language and its set to English (UK). Interestingly it had for "display" Engish (US) despite the display talking to me with a British accent. I changed to UK and restarted, but there's no changes to the timers unfortunately 😔. Then changed to US and a US accent appeared. Setting timers then would bring back a small part of what I had before (it would make a chicken sound after saying "set a chicken timer") but no themes, no change of sound when the timer went off. Same result when saying "bread", "pizza" etc. 
 
Not wishing for the US accent I changed back to UK and back exactly as I was originally. No sign of a theme at all.

Hello everyone,

Please try to factory reset your Google Nest Hub Max and set it up again. If the issue remains, give me the Cast firmware and Fuchsia version of your displays so we can take a closer look into this. Here's how: swipe up from the bottom of your device to access the system tray settings > Go to System Settings > Device information > Technical information > Look for Firmware version and Fuchsia version.

We are in the UK.

Also worthy of mention, we have 2x hubs in the house, this problem affects both.

I have 3 Google Hubs and none have this feature working anymore, so it isn’t device specific.

Factory reset done and unfortunately no difference. My settings are identical to @YorkieBar which I guess makes sense both being in the UK.

I'm not home to test it.  I'm hoping with everyone else commenting, mine works again.  This was the main reason we went from one to four of these 😁. We enjoy the unique communication Google home offers compared to Alexa.

Hi, we've noticed the same problem problem.  Even with a timer response in a male voice (my preferred setting) the the end is with a female voice.  I don't like this change either.  I've reset like everyone else.  I'd like the fun timer responses to return please.  And add a moo response too. 😁

This is one of 4 we have in the home.  The other 3 Google home have the same problem.  Timers used to work great in November.

Same issue here - themed timers seemed to disappear around the time I installed the Google Pixel March update which would sync timers from our Nest Hub to the phone. I tried turning off the timer sync setting but this didn't bring the themed timers back.
