There  has been a glitch" and or "Emm something went wrong" Try again later

All 4 of my google nest speakers started replying "There has been a glitch" and or "Emm something went wrong" both with try again later. When I contacted Google help they told me the devices don't work further than 15-20 feet away and shorter if there is a wall in the way! They all sit beside other devices, laptops, phones, smart TV's and even google chromecast devices that all work. There are a number of treads on this issue but they all appear to have been closed down. Google have a problem and they just won't fix it.

Hi KieranLWalsh,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us.

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s check what’s going on. Do you have the case number when you contacted our support so we can further check it for you?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Juni

Hi Juni, case ID is 1-1957000033771. Reality is Google well aware of this problem and keep ignoring it. There are multiple threads with the same issue. I bought Alexa speakers and they work perfectly. Please don't ask me to reset, move etc. All the obvious fixes have been tried. The problem I and multiple other people have is the speakers don't work anymore and what are Google going to do about it? Kieran

Hi there,

Since the steps didn't work on your end, we'd be happy to take a look into this for you. Please fill up this form with all the needed information then let me know once done.

Regards,

Juni

I populated the form.

Just to share with other members of the community with:

I have 4 Google Nest Mini, V 1 &2, speakers. They started saying there is a glitch a while ago, try again. It then added "Ehmm there appears to be a problem". Sometimes it might take 30 secs to execute a command. The commands on all these could be as basic as what time is it. Now we have to repeat the request 4 times to get anything to work.

When I contacted the help desk I tried resetting the device, rebooting the rooter etc. Eventually I was told "No, they will still work if they're not beside the router as long as they're not far away or exceeding the 15-20 feet distance."

When I said one was within 15 feet I was asked was there a wall in the way I was told "But since the wall that's dividing your room is being an interference to the signal."

I have multiple smart devices closer, including other Google devices. They all work.

This problem is all over the "community" but you have not provided a solution.

There is clearly a problem with the device as manufactured.
