The reset method worked for me when this happened......but not this one
When unplugging, hold the volume buttons, hold the volume buttons while plugging back in, and continue to hold while it boots up
Until it reaches that stage. Customer service was very helpful and even suggested that they replace the device. When I said I was in New Zealand, they suddenly changed their tune and said that they do not support Google products in New Zealand. I mean, they sell them here, so they should support them. Google screens have been suffering from this problem of late - but they do not want to acknowledge that it was caused by a recent software update. It is now time for me to give up on Google smart home. In the end, I bought the JBL smart hub instead. Ultimately you still have to deal with the digital idiot in the device that cannot understand decent English, even if there is a superior sound to the crappy Google screen. In fact, I checked this topic as well, but I did not find an answer to my question.
