There's major problem with Home Assistant enabled devices (kinda) - con not add them back to Home

Since last couple of weeks back I'm unable to add my Lenovo Smart Display back to Google Home, even after multiple factory resets.

I also tried to add it using another device and still had no success.

Today I resetted my Google Home (the original one, which looks like a vase) and in this case I'm now also unable to add the device to Google Home. It's just doesn't show up there in "Add new device" wizard.

Although there's a notification, that there's a Google device available, after pressing it Google Home app opens and still unable to find the device .

After getting in here and looking into latest topics, I now realize that the problem is not with my devices.

Google, would you please pay some attention here and/or at least give us some updates and fix ETA

This seemed to help

At least with the Google Home device.
There are two steps I performed, which is not in the list under the link above:

1. Disabled IoT discovery assist  on my Xiaomi router (although it didn't interfere before on setting up any Google devices) - just in case

2. Cleaned data for the Google Home app (after which it requested location access - seems it's the step really did the job)

Still having problems with Lenovo Smart display though, but it could be completely other issue (there were reports on Lenovo devices behaving that way)

Hey there,
I understand that these issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Please let me know.

Best regards,
Garrett DS

Yeah, thanks for that. And you're right! With PCs and other stuff there's at least some debugging tools...
As I wrote before - managed to fix issues with Google Home device, but Lenovo Smart Display is still just a brick with permanent device pairing invitation.

The worst part is that I live in Russia and there are no service center for any kinds of Google Assistant powered devices.

Hey there,

Glad to hear that you were able to fix the issues with the Google Home device, and for the Lenovo device, I'd reach out to the manufacturer to see if they have any support or ideas on how to help you.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,

Garrett DS

Thanks for the advice! But I'm afraid it's not that easy from my country of origin. Nevertheless, I've managed to find service center, which happens to be authorized Lenovo service partner, who agreed to try to fix my device. But unfortunately we're in the middle of another lockdown, so I didn't yet had a chance to get to them in person.
