Check in Speaker's settings > Notifications and Digital Wellbeing > Night Mode > you can disable this or use Maximum volume at night.
I actually use this as part of my automations for different times throughout the day. This only works on Google's Mini speaker right now

Hi @indeo,
Thanks for following up!
I appreciate the information you provided.
Given that the Nest Mini is showing one to four lights moving backwards and forwards and then displays orange, this indicates that the microphone might be off on the device. In this case, please verify if the microphone switch is on. For reference, please refer to this article: Google Nest and Google Home device LED lights.
Also, please confirm if you have noticed any of the lights getting stuck.
Please keep me posted.
Best regards,
Jenniffer

Hi jennifer
Sorry for the late reply.still no luck with the google nest mini, but strangely, there seems to be 2 lights stuck then Flickr to 4 then back again. Not really sure what that means, but either way, there is still no sound at all.

Hi @indeo,
Thanks for following up! I'm glad to hear that the issue was isolated by testing with a power cable from another Nest Mini. I also appreciate all the efforts you've made to resolve this inconvenience.
If you need more assistance in the future, feel free to post again.

Hi @indeo,
Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I understand you're experiencing an issue with your Google Nest Mini (2nd gen) where there is no sound output, even after multiple resets. Despite the lights functioning correctly, the lack of sound persists, including during the setup process. I'd be happy to help with this!
Based on the information, it seems like you're not hearing any sound from the speaker. To clarify, I'd like to confirm the following:
In the meantime, I'd suggest the following;

Hi jennifer
Thank you for taking the time to look at my post.
The answers to your questions are:
1.No chimes are heard at power turn on
2.No greetings from google in any form.
Lights sequentie is as follows:
Orange
. white dots go 1-4
White dots go backwards and forwards
4 coloured flash
Finally back to orange.
Thats all i can get out of it im afraid.google home tells me its found the mini and connected to it,but when it asks did i hear sound,i can only retry, thats as far as it goes.
I hope i provider enough information jennifer.
look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind regards
Narinder
