Trouble connecting iOS Spotify to Google Home

For several years I’ve consistently played music on my Google Home through the Spotify app on my iPhone. Within the past couple months I’ve increasingly had issues with this functionality. Both iPhone and Home are on the same WiFi network, I restart iPhone/Spotify/Home, all without success of fixing (it will just sporadically work later on in the day). Any recommendations?
