Until recently (about 3 weeks ago) I'm unable to listen to my favourite radio station on my Google Home Mini via TuneIn app. I just have silence. The TuneIn radio station will work on my phone, but if I try to cast to the Google Home Mini it says "buffering" on my mobile app.
Is there a solution for this? All other radio stations via TuneIn app work on my Google Home. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions but it didn't work. I contacted TuneIn about this issue, and they confirmed that the streams on the specific radio stations are not working and they need to provide TuneIn with a stream update. TuneIn is contacting these stations directly but it could take a while to get this fixed.

Hi Dan_A,
This issue still persists. I had contacted TuneIn app directly, and they confirmed these radio stations need to update their stream.
The weird part is that these radio stations do work on TuneIn if I listen to them on my phone or laptop. The issue is when I try to listen to them directly on one of my home google mini devices, or if I try to cast the audio from that radio station to the home google minis. It looks like it's working and the google voice confirms the radio station being streamed, but there's silence. Or if I try to cast from my phone (those specific stations) it will just say "buffering" on the TuneIn app.

Hi TroubleshooterM,
Apologies for the delayed response. How are we on your concern? If they confirmed about a streaming update, then most probably it might affect your Google Home Mini since it relies heavily on other platforms to work properly. Are you not able to play anything from TuneIn using your Google Home Mini?
Looking forward to your responses.
Best regards,
Dan

Hi Dan_A
Confirming I am able to play/listen to other TuneIn stations on Google Home Mini.

Hey there,
We really appreciate the update and it would seem like the concern is only with a specific station in which TuneIn acknowledges. If only I can do more however, we need to wait for them to do an update about that specific station so that it can be heard using your Google Home Mini. Isolating this is our goal and now we have it.
In the meantime, we can revert your Google Home Mini to its default and original settings by doing a factory reset. Here's how. Once the reset is done, re-do the setup.
Keep us posted.
Kind regards,
Dan

Thanks. Yes, I guess if it's only a specific station then it's a matter of the station updating the stream. However, can you clarify how will reverting the Google Home Mini to default settings help?

Hi TroubleshooterM,
Over time, data and cache can build up in your Google Home devices and Google Home app, making a reset necessary. But not necessarily enough to do it regularly. Only as a last resort. Doing the factory reset will let you set up your Google Home Mini as if it's a new device. It's like starting fresh.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Dan
