Hi everyone,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand that you’re getting the message, “This service is not available in your country,” when you try to use TuneIn on your Google Nest Hub. I appreciate the details, as they help us better investigate the behavior on the device. I know how important it is to have everything working properly, and I’m here to help.
According to our records, this seemed to be an issue on the TuneIn side. We’ve confirmed that this issue was actually fixed on Feb 10th. Could you please try again and let me know if you’re still seeing that error?
Keep me posted.
Best regards,
Stephanie

Same problem here. My wife said it used to work two days ago. Updated the app, cleared the cache/data, but no way it works. When I put my VPN to US it does work. Wtf Google. This integration is worthless now. Fix it!

Hi, since a few days my Google Nest / Google Home speakers stopped playing radio via TuneIn. Assistant says the station isn’t available in my country (Netherlands). I’m seeing similar behavior in the TuneIn app/website here, so it may be a provider availability change.
I’m not looking to bypass any regional restrictions — just trying to restore a hands-free radio experience.
Are others in the Netherlands seeing this too?
What radio services work natively with Google Assistant now (no phone casting)?
If a station has a direct stream URL, is there a supported way to play it on Nest speakers?
Thanks!

Same problem over here. Trying to stream Radio Veronica or Radio 538 doesn't seem to work. Tried to stream SterrenNL, which did work through TuneIn, but it's frustrating that all of a sudden other stations don't work anymore.

What other options do we have? Can we connect other apps directly to Google home for radio?

Only solution is to wait and in the mean time to look for stations that work until the issue is resolved..

So I've created a support ticket on the website of TuneIn: https://help.tunein.com/nl/support/tickets/new
If you guys wouldn't mind doing the same thing, they might see the urgency of this matter.

How does it work? Via phone/app or directly on the google home?

It says "this station is not available in your country"
WHY?

De volgende dag kreeg ik helaas weer de melding: "This station is not available in your country".

I also have this issue (classic FM via TuneIn in the UK.) has worked fine for the last several years now I get the "not available in your country" message. Fix this Google!

Same here...very annoying
02-10-2026 11:30 PM
Yes, same for me. I have to say "Speel KINK op TuneIn" for it to play, but then it works. Why isn't it possible to change your default radio player?

Classic FM (via tune in UK) briefly worked today for approx 10 minutes then increasingly became distorted until I had to turn it off.
Come on google fix this!

Hi Stephanie,
The TuneIn service seems to work, but that isn't my problem. My problem is that the hub defaults to "Radio Player" and not TuneIn. My radio channel isn't on "Radio Player".
Is it possible to change the default radio service to TuneIn so I can say "Play KINK" in stead of "Play KINK on TuneIn".
Regards,
Danny

Exactly my problem DannyKoel! Since a couple of weeks (don't know exactly how long) it suddenly switched to "RadioPlayer" as default player....but that one doesn't work! But when I say e.g. "OK Google stream Kink op TuneIn" it all works.
Don't know if it applies to you, but our default player used to be TuneIn and worked like a charm. But somehow Google switched to RadioPlayer in the Netherlands and since then it wont play unless I ad "on TuneIn" at the end of my command.
Fix it Google!
Regards,
Jeroen
