Unable to play from multiple Spotify Premium accounts on the same Google Home network

I am attempting to play music on two mini speakers that are on the same Google Home network from two different Spotify Premium accounts unsuccessfully. I'm selecting one speaker from a Spotify Premium account and playing music.  Then I log into a different Spotify Premium account and attempt to play on the other speaker from that second account. When I try this, it stops the first account/speaker from playing. I was able to do this until recently. I re-downloaded the Google Home and the Spotify accounts on my phone to ensure I had the latest versions but the same issue is happening.

Hi gregaherman,

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. I wanted to clarify: are you playing Spotfiy music via casting or voice command? If casting, have you tried to cast media from a different app and see if it will do the same behavior? How about using a different phone?

Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex - I was playing with casting from my phone and toggling between Spotify accounts (sign in/out/in). I tried the same thing but with different phones and that does work.

Hi folks,

Thanks for trying to troubleshoot. For you to be able to use your other Spotify account, you need to add another home member and link the other Spotify account to that email. Check out the helpful link below on how to add another home member.
