How do I get Google Home to play Spotify playlists that have been shared with me? It doesn't work for me and I was wondering if this was a bug...
I have a Google Home with linked Spotify account. I am able to play my playlists fine by saying something like "Hey Google, play my Spotify playlist 'Bob's Rock Music'". The 'Bob's Rock Music' playlist is a playlist I have created in Spotify.
I also have a Spotify playlist called 'Family Music", which was created by another person and shared with me. If I try to play the playlist by commanding Google Home with "Hey Google, play my Spotify playlist 'Family Music'", it will not play the playlist. The Home tries to find and play some random family-related music on Spotify.
* I am able to add to the shared playlist so it's probably nothing to do with access rights I guess.
For the record, the person who shared the playlist with me also has a Google account linked to the Home with their Spotify account linked to the Google account and they can play the playlist fine.

My guess is the the name of the playlist is the problem. "Family Music" is very generic, and Spotify even has it's own family stations and Family Mix playlists for Family accounts. I would suggest trying to change the command to "play my family music playlist on Spotify". If that doesn't work you can start the stream form the app, or see if your friend will change the name of the playlist to something more unique.

Thanks for the response.
I thought about changing the playlist name, and will try it, but the playlist plays for the person that created the playlist when they use that exact same instruction.

I have tried instructing it the way you have suggested above i.e. name of the playlist on Spotify and it does work. Thanks.
