Hi, hoping someone can help as I’ve been searching for an answer for over a year.
I purchased a TV 3 years ago and didn’t unlink it from the google home app when I sold it. As such, it’s still linked in the home app but because I can’t access the tv anymore, and because it’s not sitting in a “room” in GH or connected on the same wifi I can’t move or, delete it.
I have unlinked it from my devices in my main google account but that hasn’t removed to from GH. It’s just sitting in the “linked to you” section of GH.
Please Help.

It's ridiculous... Several topics here, on reddit for several years and no working solution yet. The same issue in my case. I can't remove offline device because GH is complaining about Wi-Fi settings. Please tell me what does my Wi-Fi settings have to do with removing the device from the app?
Before you ask. Yes I tried all the solutions I was able to find (apart from removing the home, including proposed by "Community specialists") and none of them worked. In other topics you suggest using support contact form... Just provide the solution in one of these topics so people will stop creating new ones. Thank god I am using this app just to link the device and then happily switch to Home Assistant instead of this bs...

I just visited my mom and bring old chromecast to my home so it is online again and after that it could be removed without any problems... Magic. I'm really sorry for people who got their device completely lost or broken. They can't make it so easily as I could.
