Hi folks! I moved recently, and need to change the WiFi connection for my smart display. However, I can't figure out how to do so.
The Help Center article on this says to go to Favorites, then WiFi. However, I don't have a WiFi option. I also tried to factory reset the device and re-add it... however I get blocked when attempting to re-add it, with a message displayed about the device already being connected to an existing home. Unfortunately, I can't remove it from the Home because of the lack of connectivity.
I'm stuck - please help!

I found this similar discussion post, which indicates that there isn't a way to do this without access to the original network, which I don't have. Is that truly the case? Tell me that I don't now own an expensive brick.

Hi joe_squid,
That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s further look into it. Do you have home members in the previous home where your Google Nest Hub Max was set up? If yes, members should also remove Google Nest Hub Max from their Google Home app.
To remove:
If you don’t have home members, unplug your Google Nest Hub Max for at least 48 hours. Factory reset the device once more, and then attempt to do the setup again. Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Alex

Thanks Alex! Will try this if we run into the problem again.
Before you responded, I ended up changing my home's wifi SSID and password to match our old home in order connect and remove it.
