Vertical lines on left side of Google Home Max

I've had this device for the last 2 months. This week vertical lines on the left side of the screen started showing up. I did a factory reset and this didn't do anything. I've had the screen off completely and that's not helping. Is this a permanent issue?

Sorry to hear about your Google Nest Hub Max, but thanks for bringing this up. I’d love to dig deeper into this: when did the issue start? Where are you located? Where did you purchase your device? Also, please share a photo showing the issue, so we have a better picture of what's happening on your device. Make sure also to provide the firmware version by following the steps below:

 

  1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings and then About device. You should find your "Software version" and "Cast firmware version."

Thanks for the reply. The lines started a week ago. I live in the United States and ordered this from the Google store online. I'm not seeing where I can upload a photo here. Where is that option? The firmware version is 1.56.295071.

I appreciate your quick response. Could you tell us when you purchased your device? Below are the steps on how to upload pictures on thread:

 

  1. Start a new post.
  2. Click Insert Image.
  3. Choose an image source location.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions
