Voice assistant identifies wrong person

My two googles nest speakers are set up with 3 seperate accounts for individual voice controls. My two children boy and girl voices are different. But the system always thinks the girl is the girl and the boy is the girl. I have factory reset both. Cleared the cache, re learned the voices many times but still it’s getting the names wrong. I picks my voice and my daughters up fine just but not my sons. Please help.

Hi Tbot,

Thanks for reaching out and for providing detailed information on your issue and the steps that you've done — these are of great help!

A few things: which Nest speaker do you own? When they use Google assistant on their phone is the result the same? Do you manage your children’s accounts using the Family link app? If so, check the information that you added on their account. You can follow the steps below.

  1. On your phone or tablet, open the Family Link app Family Link.
  2. Select your child.
  3. Tap Controls and then Account settings and then Privacy settings and then Account data settings.
  4. In the ”Other account settings” section, manage contact and app info from devices.

Check this link for more information.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Juni

Hi, yes i did get the system working but not in one house,

i had to make and link a separate house as my son's room then it worked just fine.

The kids are on adults accounts.

Both have new Google Nest Audio with the latest firmware.

I also have a Google nest audio mini what i have not tested yet.

Hi Tbot,

Perfect! I'm happy to hear that your device is able to recognize your son's voice now. It's strange though that you need to create a separate home for your son to work. How many accounts are linked to your current home? Have you tried inviting other accounts to your son's home structure to check if you will have the same issue?

Cheers,

Muddi

Still not working like it should. Can’t put all speakers in the same house. My daughter  account still thinks my son his her. Haven’t even started on the third speaker, or why my Sonos speakers are doubled up, or why the Phillips hue is offline when the hub is online.

Hey Tbot,

To confirm, are these issues only happening when the devices are on the same home structure? Also, when you say hub, are you pertaining to a Nest Hub or the Philips Hue hub?

Correct. One home structure and it confuses the kids voices. Two home structures and they are they are both recognised. And yes Philips hue hub
