Voice command to play music no longer working

New development in just the last couple of days. Sometimes now when I use a voice command to tell Google to play music on my nest mini stereo pair it will respond "okay playing music from Spotify on Stereo" but then it does nothing. I can repeat the command and it's the same thing.  And yes, the volume is up. So I end up having to open the Spotify app to get the music to play. Really this system has gotten so annoying in the last few months. It has deteriorated from playing music as I command without unnecessarily telling me what it's going to do (as it should), to playing music as commanded but always telling me it's going to do it (redundant and annoying) to now telling me it's going to do it but then doing nothing. (100 % useless and annoying.)

Hi Joandev,

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let’s further look into it. A few questions: do you have a premium subscription on Spotify? Are you getting the same behavior if you ask Google Assistant on your phone to play music on the stereo pair? Does the issue happen if you try to stream from a different music service?

Try to unpair the Google Nest Audio speakers, then ask one of them to play music to see if it works individually. Reboot each speaker and pair them again. Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Alex
