Volume of my smart speakers are driving me away from using them

Hi,

I know there is a longer conversation about the topic, but since it has gone pretty silent I would like to raise the topic back up.

Long story short, my 5% volume is too loud to listen to anything from spotify. I have 3 JBL Links (two of them as a pair and one as a single unit) and two mini nests as a pair troughout my house. Life was awesome, until in the spring, when all the sudden in the middle of me eating my lousy lunch, all the volumes went like really loud.

I control stuff trough ipad/iphone with google home app. Before the volume twist, our basic volume was around 15%, now 3% is the lowest we get before going fully mute, and 5% is way louder than the previous 15%. I have done all the things mentioned in the other thread, and rebooted stuff and all that, eithout any success to the issue.

Since its kind of auper annoying, we have given up on using the nests, since they were our bedroom speakers. We are still trying to live our first world problem-lives with the jbl links, but honestly just getting to the 3% with the volume sliders is so sucky, that moreoften we dont listen to anything anymore.

This seems like a super random problem, since not a lot of users are talking about this, but still trying to throw a hail mary here if there could still be something to do, before switching to for example apple speakers? I am not super keen on switching platforms, but the system is barely usable at the moment. And our dog hates loud music. And he is the main user of music hehe.
