Weather is normally about 2°C cooler than actual

Google's weather service is almost 2°C cooler than the actual weather reported by the Australian official weather bureau, (Bureau of Meteorology) for that day.
If you wake up in the morning and ask for the weather forecast, it's guaranteed to be 2°C cooler (I live in a capital city, so there isn't discrepancy between locations).
Tomorrow's forecast on the Nest Hib is a full 4°C cooler than that forecast by the BoM.

How is this always so inaccurate?

So this didn't get seen by anyone because it immediately marked as spam when I tried posting it and took about 10 days before Google finally unmarked it.
Anyone else notice this issue or can test this issue?

We always have to check the BoM as it is better at providing the temperature, actual and predicted max, than Google by around 2 degrees.  Also this morning asked "Will it rain today?" and the reply was "Probably not!"  Only trouble is that it has been persistently raining for the past 2 hours already.

Hi Boofsdad

Thanks for posting.

Thanks for bringing this up and I’m sorry you have that experience. Let’s check what’s going on. A few questions: Which Nest speaker? Aside from the weather, are you experiencing other concerns? What troubleshooting steps did you take?

If you did a reboot try to do a full reset then check if it will make a difference.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Juni

@Juni @Jake
I note no-one has actually taken any notice of my post....

  1. A few questions: Which Nest speaker?
It doesn't matter what speaker... Hub, Mini, Hub Max.
  2. What troubleshooting steps did you take?
What troubeshooting do you expect me to take? This is Google answering a question. It's like if I asked Google,  "What is one plus one?" and Google answered, "Four"; what am I meant to do about that?!?!?!?
  3. If you did a reboot try to do a full reset then check if it will make a difference. A full reset doesn't make ANY difference. This happens on a brand new dvice.

Google weather prediction is ALWAYS wrong, at least in Australia. And it is NEVER in alignment with other more accurate weather predictions services, including the governmet bureau of meterology. I don't know about other countries, but the predicted temperatures for the weather is NEVER accurate.
