Hello Janet Hodge 5211,

Thanks for your message. That is definitely concerning that your Google Nest Hub device is turning itself off. I would be more than happy to help look into this issue and see what is happening. First, I have some questions to get a better understanding of this situation.

  • Which generation is this Google Nest Hub? (1st or 2nd)
  • Is this a new issue? Was your device working normally before?
  • What happens when this issue occurs? Is it randomly or when you are doing something on the device?
  • What are you playing when the device shuts off? (Spotify, YouTube, radio, etc)
  • Is your device powering on, responding to commands, and working besides this issue?
  • Does your device still show up as connected in the Google Home App?
  • Do you see any error messages when the issue occurs?
  • Have you tried to do a Factory Data Reset on the device? Does the issue still occur?
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings.
Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.

I appreciate your patience and look forward to your response.
