RadioApp will not load on my Nest Hub Max. Other nest devices in the same household are fine.
Has been working fine, but stopped within the last week or so. Responds to my voice command "Play 3AW' but then the loading process freezes. Other radio services seem fine (iHeartradio) works on the Hub max, but RadioApp does not.
Contacted Google support via email ... the suggested the usual reboot and update solutions ... no change. Opened a chat to Google support, nothing additional to help, but they did suggest to open a Feedback on the issue through the Google home app. When enough people report the same issue, it gets the attention of the next level support people, who should be able to resolve the issue.
** UPDATE **
This is a Google issue ... probably a bug in a recent firmware upgrade that you have no control over.
If you are on firmware level 26.20250116.103.2201 you will probably have the problem.
It is a worldwide issue for Nest Hub devices. Google are aware and some users in the UK have recently reported their problem has been fixed. Hopefully just a matter of time before they roll the fix out to us in Australia ... keep checking.

Experiencing the exact same issue - with 3AW Radio app. Have forwarded my feedback to Google.

Hi Steve and others communication on this forum. Mid last week (eg: 22nd or 23rd April 2025) I noticed that 3AW was having issues loading RadioApp on Nest Hub Mini and Nest Hub Max, but it did eventually load. On Friday evening 25th April 2025, I asked Nest Hub Max to stream Radio 3AW, and RadioApp commenced to load, but then it stopped, and nothing further happened with the loading of 3AW. This is still happening now (Sunday 1.00pm). I've located a Support Phone Number (Ph: 133693) for 3AW, and the man who answered my phone call, stated that he wasn't aware of any issues, but after further communication with him, I directed him to this Chat and he advised that he will be contacting their Techincal Support Team to advise them. Hopefully someone is looking at this now.

I forgot to mention that I can get the ABC in Melbourne, South Australia, Brisbane. MidWest Ireland Radio, BBC Scotland and BBC England, and many others, but unfortunately, not 3AW.
Friday
Hi RozH.
Yes exactly the same symptoms for me in Melbourne
Monday
Hi Steve,
We live on the Mid North Coast and listen to 2GB Sydney via RadioApp and it hasn't been working for a week now as well. As many of the others have reported here it will play ABC and other channels but it seems like they've (Google/RadioApp) shut down the Nine radio group!?!?! Food for thought.

26 April 2025 suddenly my radio app on my Google home has stopped working
I reset my Google home and still have the problem
Im in Perth
Saturday
This is going on too long and is driving our house crazy. Now the smaller Nest Hub is playing up with the radio app. We still can't get any of the talkbacks... 3AW, 2GB, 2CC etc. Can't get our local commercial FM stations but can get ABC/Triple J WITH THE RADIOAPP!! We've dusted off our old radios and will likely never buy a google product again after this.

Hi Amber5,
I've noticed something interesting...We live on the Mid North Coast and listen to 2GB Sydney via RadioApp and it hasn't been working for a week now as well. As many of the others have reported here it will play ABC and other channels but it seems like they've (Google/RadioApp) shut down the Nine radio group!?!?! Food for thought. Maybe it will resume after the election??

I can see that majority of complaints are from Australia. I have the same problem with global player which is not loading from London (UK)
Saturday
also having issues with Rayo
liverpool
Saturday
This is also happening to me and has been for the last few days.
I factory reset the display hub in the hope of it being a settings issue but it returned the same issue.
I've also noticed other issues with the home app. For example, if I ask the living room speak to play LBC for example, it will play there but not on the display hub but when I go to the home app and select devices, it won't let me adjust the volume level.like I used to. Also, my preset speaker groups have disappeared. If I try to make a new one, only display hub shows as available.
If I click on the setting for the display hub, I get a warning notification at the top saying some setting may not be available unless the device and the mobile device are on the same network, which they are!
Very confusing stuff but something has definitely gone wrong.
Saturday
Me too. I have the same problem. Google Nest has always played Global player, now says it's playing and doesn't.

Still not working for me last time I ever but a piece of **bleep** google home

We all know it's annoying, happily all the other things still work. And yes, I am also surprised (and kinda impressed) how quickly all of us rely on the Nest Hub to stream all of our radio stations. Not sure that was the big use case when these products were designed!
Have you used any of the workaround ideas to keep things streaming Evan?

That is good news.
May I ask which country you are in ?
Friday
I cannot get any radio stations on my home hub but the mini works fine. The only way I can get a radio station is to cast it from my tablet which seems to defeat the whole google hub. Worked fine until last Thursday. Qld
Friday
Having the same issue, as are many others from posts I've read. No one is solving it though
Friday
I have tried everything google has said to do, re-start modem and wireless internet reboot everything with no success but strange my small mini works ok???? I don't think google even knows what is wrong as they cannot give me an answer. I am going to turn it off for a few days and see

Same with our google nest hub. The google nest mini and Google nest Audio work correctly
What happens with the google hub is
1. Tell it to play radio station
2. Google nest hub shows the radio app just looking for the stream
3. Google nest hub displays the Radio App logo nothing else
Its like the app crashes or defaults to the logo as it cant find the stream.
This and google removing features is now making me question on why did I choose google. This isn't the first time the radio app or other radio apps having issues.
Friday
exactly the same with mine something is not working is it??
Friday
is there something else I can use other than google??
Monday
I have the radio station app on my phone and I cast it to the hub 👍🏻
Monday
That’s exactly what I am doing now too!
Friday
Yeah, same here.
I have 2x Nest Hubs and about 6 Nest Mini speakers.
The Mini Speakers are streaming Radio stations OK, but neither Nest Hubs are stream radio stations. Spotify and Amazon Music are playing OK, just no radio stations. (Sydney)
Friday
I am in Queensland, it must be world wide. I wonder if it was a very bad update
Friday
I have suddenly lost FM radio on both my Nest devices- went off last night. AM radio is working ok Located Sydney Australia
Saturday
Still no radio stations in Nest hub. All other speakers/minis work fine. Went through ALL troubleshooting INCLUDING factory reset with hopes it would work...it is NOT working. This issue seems super common with multiple users...this needs a fix ASAP. US/PA
Thanks!

I'm in UK and can't connect to global player. Plays other stations but not this one. No issues for 4 years. As above I've also done a full factory reset. Oh and I can't even play Spotify from my android phone any more.
Saturday
Same for me. It's been 2 days. It's really the tunein app that doesn't work for me. Other app like Radio-Canada works.
Saturday
From numerous searches it appears to be an issue with firmware 26.20250116.103.2201.

All of a sudden my display has stopped playing radio. It starts loading radio app then stops. I could initially start the radio on another google home gen2 and then said play on kitchen display now that has stopped working as well. I also cannot cast it from my phone it starts loading and does nothing. I have switched it off rebooted it done it all please help

Same here. One stopped playing Melbourne radio stations. The other four continue to work as normal. Tried re- installing and restarting the router. The phone home app says its playing but it's not. Nothing has helped also.
Saturday
Further to the one speaker out of the five I have that stopped playing a second one that was working has now stopped. Both these are the type with a screen. So are only the ones with a screen being effected? The other three that are still working are without a screen. Seeing that others are effected also it looks like this is Google issue.
Saturday
Sounding more like a Google firmware problem. As Google rolls out this latest firmware in a staged way across different nest devices, that is possibly the trigger for the radio function to stop working.
Come on Google ... time for some action here
Saturday
Are google even doing anything or at least reading our comments here or feedback or reports we are sending
Monday
It is definitely a Google issue. My two nests that don’t have a screen have stopped working too in addition to the hub with a screen. Have reset to factory settings without success.

Have you tried swiping to the Media tile or screen?
If I start the radio on the gen2, I can then use the select other devices function to also play on another device. This is the work around that is working for me currently.
Friday
Yes found out this morning the work around does work thank you

Same here. It's just some stations that do not work. Nova 100 doesn't work while Coles Radio still works. I hope they figure out soon what's wrong.
