Wrong time setting on Google Nest

I have tried updating our home address, even though that hasnt changed and also rebooted the hub, but the time will not correct itself to the current local time, need support on this!

Hey there Stujgreg, 

Sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with your Nest Hub showing the incorrect time, I'm sure it's frustrating but I'm happy to help. 

 

If you follow the below steps, you should be able to fix this.

  1. Find the assistant settings by clicking on your profile picture in the upper right hand corner. You may need to be on cellular data.
  2. Go to “you” and then “your places” and make sure your address with the time zone you want is correct.
  3. Next, either click on a notification on the main screen for “set up home and away routines” and follow the prompts or go to them directly via the assistant settings again under “routines”. 
  4. Confirm your location while setting up presence sensing. You will have to allow the app to run in the background and use your location also.
