Xiaomi & ezviz cameras not streaming on display

Nizar

I can't stream my xiaomi cameras and my ezviz cameras on either the hub 2 display or my chromecasts.

I linked and unlinked the account multiple times and it still says that it can't stream.

I also checked the network connection , I have a mesh network so it shouldn't be an issue.

Hi Nizar,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us.

I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should, so let’s get this resolved. A few things: Are you able to stream the camera on their native app? How about through the Google Home app? What is the exact message that you are getting from your Nest Hub 2nd gen when you try to stream the camera?

You can do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest hub 2nd gen for 30 seconds, then do the same thing to your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Juni

The original camera application , actually also send me a notification , saying that the camera Is being streamed, when i ask yje google assistant to stream, but actually it doesn't show anything on the Google display.

I have a wyze camera is working perfectly when requesting the google asistant to stream it.

Hello everyone,

It would help a lot if you could contact your smart cameras manufacturer for additional info and troubleshooting. In the meantime, it would be great if we could make sure that all your devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Do you know if you have a band steering frequency? This is where your Wi-Fi has the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz active at the same time and your mobile devices are able to freely switch in between, whichever is stronger at that specific time. If that's the case, then that would also contribute to the issue at hand where your phone and apps are on a different network from your smart devices.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do the provided steps. We really appreciate it!

Best,

Dan

Hi,

I have the same problem. Google Nest Hub 2 can't show stream from Xiaomi Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K MJSXJ09CM. Camera has been added in google home. When I say "show camera" it says "Sorry something went from camera". It looks like nest see the camera because when camera is offline it is saying "Camera is offline".

Camera is working fine with Xiaomi home app.

Same issue Here, any fix?

Hi folks,

Thanks for the additional info. Could you please try "Hey Google" instead of "OK Google" when commanding your Google Nest speakers? Also, if possible, try to connect the cameras to your router without involving the mesh network. Let's see if this will work.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Princess

Same problem when using "Hey Google" or "OK Google". Camera is connected directly to router and distance is about 2 meters.

Hey folks,

Sorry for the delays. To confirm, are you able to stream your cameras on the Google Home app? Also, it looks like the issue is isolated to Xiaomi and Ezviz camera only -- have you tried calling the manufacturer to check if they are getting similar resports?

Cheers,

Muddi
