Hi Jeff00720,

Thanks for posting and letting us know about your pin code concern. Let me help you. A few questions: what third-party devices are we working with? Do your home automation devices require you to use a pin code? If so, were you able to control their device using the third-party app without the code?

I look forward to your response.

Regards,

Juni

Hey there,

To confirm, have you had a chance to try unlinking and re-linking your Philips Hue and Weemo accounts from the Google Home app?

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi Jeff00720,

Understood! Let's proceed with a sequential approach to troubleshoot the issue with your Nest Audio. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Unlink your home automation account: Open the Google Home app and navigate to the settings for your Nest Audio. Look for the option to unlink your home automation account and follow the prompts to complete the process.
  2. Factory reset your Nest Audio: On the back of your Nest Audio, locate the mic switch and turn it off. The lights will turn orange. Press and hold the center of the Nest Audio, near the top, for about 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue holding the button for approximately 10 seconds more, until you hear a sound confirming that the device is resetting.
  3. Set up your Nest Audio on a different home structure: Follow the initial setup process for your Nest Audio, but this time choose a different home structure within the Google Home app. This step will help ensure a fresh start for your device.
  4. Relink your home automation accounts: Once your Nest Audio is set up on the new home structure, go back to the Google Home app and relink your home automation accounts. Follow the necessary steps to set up your smart devices within the new home structure where your Nest Audio is located.

After completing these steps, check if you still encounter the same message when controlling your smart devices. Hopefully, this sequential approach will help resolve the issue. Please let me know if you need further assistance or have any other questions.

Cheers,

Muddi
