can't link a smart device on Google Home app

Trying to link Cielo app to Google Home app for a Nest Hub 2nd gen and one way nothing happens. Other way using Google log in, get message "Your social media account is not linked to Cielo Cloud". Don't know what that means or even if it's a Google thing or Cielo (smart thermostat) thing. Help!!!!

Found out it had something to do with my phone, so I did a factory reset on my phone and now everything links

Hey MikeeJr72,

 

That certainly hasn't been easy for your — let's figure this out.

 

A few questions: can you control your thermostat using your Cielo app? Are you using a private or public network? Also, make sure your apps are updated.

 

Give these linking steps a try:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top left, tap Add > Set up device > Works with Google.
  3. Select the manufacturer of the device from the list.
  4. Follow the in-app steps to complete linking.
