google nest commands issue

So my google nest came yesterday. After not being used for some time, it does not register my vocal command. after insisting, it does write the command on the screen, but nothing happens. I restarted it, changed the location, nothing. 

Then all of a sudden, it works. But temporarily. 

This is not how it should work, right? I  need it to function all the time, not only when i scream at it 10 times. What's going on?

• How far is your Google Nest speaker from your router and from you while you command it? 
• Are there any walls between you and your Google Nest speaker? 
• Do you have other Google Nest speaker setup in the same Wi-Fi network that doesn't experience this?
