Hi simahajjeh,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: when did your issue begin? Are your devices on the same Wi-Fi network? When you did the factory reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link? Does it stream for a few minutes then stop or not at all? Are you streaming on the built-in camera of your Nest Hub Max or to a 3rd party smart camera?

To isolate further and to know what the exact error message is, it would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest Hub Max.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Keep me posted on the error message when doing a live stream using your Nest Hub Max.

Best,

Dan

Hi there,

Sorry for the delays. Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. Just to add, please try setting up your Google Nest Hub Max to a new home structure. Follow the steps below to know-how:

  1. Remove the Nest Hub Max from its current home structure.
  2. Factory reset the Nest Hub Max.
  3. Create a new home structure.
  4. Set up the Nest Hub Max and its built-in Nest Cam on the new home structure.

Keep us posted.

Cheers,

Hi simahajjeh,

Thanks for trying the steps. Could you please provide the cast firmware version of your Google Nest Hub Max?

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings and then Device information.
  5. Under "Technical information," find Cast firmware: X.XXX.XXXXX.

Looking forward to your response.
