heos play song on other device

Community Member

i have google nest audio connect to heos denon receiver.

all voice commands work well (volume, turn off, turn on , next song)

but when i say play "name song" on denon (room name "salon" , device name "denon")

The answer I get from google nest audio

"i also need to know which device to use try saying that again and include the devices name"

Is there a solution to this?

THANKES

OFIR

Hey ofir,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Google Nest Audio. A few questions: when did the issue start? Is it working before? What specific Denon receiver do you have? Does it have a built-in Google Assistant?

Please visit this link for the list of things that you can do to control Heos device using your Nest Audio.

Cheers,

hi muddi

Q :when did the issue start?  Is it working before?

A : It's never worked

Q : What specific Denon receiver do you have?

A :I don't think it matters i have 2  receiver   1-denon avc-x6500h     2. avr-x1600h

The problem I described occurs when I give a voice command using the google nest audio speaker

I solved it by connecting a Google Chromecast with google tv
to HDMI in the receiver

In this case there are no problems when I play Spotify on one of the Google devices

command : play it on "name of device"

Leave, it's complicated
If I play if nest hub max google
And say play it on DENON, then it continues to play on nest hub max google same music
And this Denon receiver plays Spotify from a computer installed on my computer different music

Hey ofir,

Thanks for the added information. To confirm, have you tried renaming your device?

Hey ofir,

Broadlink is one of Google's partner home automation devices, but we don't have a lists of devices that are compatible with the Google Home/Nest devices. I suggest you reach out to Broadlink support so they can provide you a complete information about their products that can be connected to your Nest Hub Max.

Hope this helps.
