A few days ago my nest started saying " mmm something went wrong try again in a few seconds" I have reset, rebooted, unplugged and replugged the nest and reset up all of the groups and smart products connected to google assist. After repeating myself three or four times google finally connects and responds to either the question or operating the smart product and it continues to work normally if I ask for other things within the same period. However, after it has been not used for a period of time it goes back to giving me the same messages all over again. This is happening every time. How can this be fixed is there a solution to this???

It could be that the smart device you're trying to control has temporarily lost its connection to the internet.

That response is not any help at all. I am still having issues with the google nest. I have been trying all reset and other things by myself with no success. I need help. I keep getting the response "mmm something went wrong try again in a few seconds" I keep having to Repeat Asking for google to do what I ask at least three times and finally it responds to the request. This is very disappointing and I need a solution.

I'm not a Google specialist, but since I'm the only person replying to you I'm all you've got.
Have you tried the same commands on your phone/Google Home app?

Hello. Did you find any solution to this issue?? I have the same problem since like a week or so. I've tried every reboot posible, ios and android setup, everything from scratch, and still the same. I have to ask like three times until i have a response from the device ad then it keeps working fine. After a few minutes again the same...

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry for the long way,
This seems to be a common issue with Nest thermostats and Google Assistant. Here are a few things you can try to fix the "something went wrong" message and improve the connection:
Check Internet Connectivity: Make sure your internet connection is stable. A weak or fluctuating signal can cause communication issues between the Nest and Google Assistant. Try restarting your router and modem.
Update Apps: Ensure you have the latest updates for both the Google Home app and the Nest app. Outdated apps might have bugs that have been fixed in newer versions.
Disable IPv6: Some users have reported success by disabling IPv6 on their router settings. IPv6 is a newer internet protocol, but some devices might have compatibility issues. Look for instructions on how to disable IPv6 in your specific router model's manual or online.
Factory Reset (Last Resort): If nothing else works, you can try a factory reset on your Nest thermostat. This will erase all your settings and configurations. Be sure to back up any schedules or routines you have created before proceeding.
If for some reason you still have the same issue you can call our customer service line for further assistance.
Regards,
Mario.
