Hello,  I just bought a second nest audio speaker so I could pair them together and get stereo sound.  I'm able to get as far as selecting the 2 speakers and then one of them is supposed to blink.  Neither speaker blinks.  I have factory reset both speakers restarted my phone, router etc to no avail.  Does anyone have any idea what possibley could be wrong?

ThanksCarlene

Hi Krueg,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing while you are trying to pair your Nest Audion devices for stereo sound. But don't worry, I can help. In this case, I just need to confirm if you try to pair both devices with these steps:

1. Place the speakers in the best position in your room.

For the best sound quality, place the two speakers:

  • On top of a solid, level surface and away from the edge of the surface.
  • At the same height as each other.

2. Set up both Nest Audio speakers.

Set up both Nest Audio speakers in the Google Home app. Once they're set up, they should appear in the app as separate devices.

3. Pair the speakers
Make sure that your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Google Nest or Home speaker or display.

  1. Open the Google Home app. Google Home app.
  2. Tap Devices.
  3. Touch and hold one of the speakers that you want to pair.
  4. Tap Settings > Audio  Stereo Pair Next.
  5. Select two devices that you'd like to pair > Next.
  6. The lights on one of the speakers should start to flash white. Tap Left or Right to match the location of the speaker that blinks > Next.
  7. Under 'Where is your pair?', choose a room for the stereo pair > tap Next.
  8. Create a name for your stereo pair > tap Next > Done.

To change settings and control your stereo pair, open the Google Home app and tap Devices on your stereo pair's tile.

You can check detailed information about the pair process in the "Pair two speakers for stereo sound" article.

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,

Jenny

Actually after resetting both speakers a zillion times i finally got them paired. There definitely is something not right if i had to reset them that many times. Thanks for responding though
