nest mini randomly disconnects blutooth

known issue, nobody will fix it. they can't fix it I assume. all I have to do is reconnect, but that is a nuisance. best support they can ever give is a copy and paste of generic unrelated troubleshooting steps. these guys don't have a clue.

want to be helpful, how about show someone how to do a packet capture of Bluetooth packets and see what its dropping. well Ive done this, and its not helpful either, because it doesn't show errors. gee imagine if there was something such as a log file to look at, but google will never give you access to that I'm sure.

Hi atoi2008,

Thanks for reaching out.

We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Google Nest Mini's Bluetooth connection. Let's sort this out by answering these questions:

  • When did you first experience issues connecting to Bluetooth?
  • Did you try to connect the Google Nest Mini to other Bluetooth enabled devices? (Phones, speakers, etc.)
  • What's the distance between your Google Nest Mini from the connecting device?

We'd love to know more details about it so we can sort this out.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Princess

There is no pattern to it. I suspect when someone drives by with their car or has Bluetooth on their phone as they are walking by the house as I notice several other bluetooth devices that are not mine in the list when I reconnect. It has been working fine for several days, but it can happen at any time and it will likely happen again. To remedy the problem, I have to turn off bluetooth in windows and turn it back on and it will reconnect.

Hi atoi2008,

Thanks for the additional info. Bluetooth devices can only connect one device at a time. It's pretty weird that it keeps on happening on your Google Nest Mini. Have you already tried performing a complete reset to your Google Nest Mini to see if you will experience the same thing after setting it up again? Lastly, it would be best if you will also try connecting it to other device like phones so we can isolate the issue further.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Princess
