"Playing Chrome Audio Mirroring" message

Hi, my question is concerning the message displayed in my Max hub and the regular size hub display. Whenever I cast radio the display says "Playing Chrome Audio Mirroring" in white with a black background. I prefer the normal display of various Google pictures that scroll every few seconds or so. Is there a way to nix the mirroring message? I know that I can reactivate the photos with a right swipe but I have 4 displays and I don't want to have to do that to each one.

Hi xtremeleafan,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you take a photo of the exact display you're getting on your Google Nest displays so we can compare it both on Google Nest Hub and Google Nest Hub Max? We'd like to take a closer look into this.

Best,

Princess

The first link is the message displayed and the second is what I'd rather see ( or a variation}

Hi there,

Thanks for the details you've shared.

Does it only happen when casting radio? How about when casting music from Spotify or YouTube, does it also shows on your Google Nest display? Could you provide the cast firmware version of the 2 Google Nest displays?

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX"

Check the version on your Nest display

  1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings and then About device. You should find your "Cast firmware version."
    • For Nest Hub (1st gen) and Nest Hub Max: If “Fuchsia Version” is also listed, this means your device runs Fuchsia.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Princess
