"play some music" command plays uploaded album called "My Music" even after deleting the album

Starting last night, I give my Google Home the prompt "Play some music", as I have for years, and instead of playing a personalized mix (which the page at https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7211943?hl=en, says it is supposed to, in the table at the bottom of that page.), as it has in the past, it plays an album that I uploaded (also years ago) called "My Music". Again, that album has been there for years, and there was never a problem until last night.

I deleted the album from youtube music, but the home still gives the same result "Got it. Playing the album My Music on YouTube Music." Except now it does not play media after that statement.

Hi @jes146

Try clearing the Google Home's app cache and reboot your Google Home. See if that helps since you've removed that old album.

Edit:  I just ran across your second post about this in another thread. I just want you to know that I've escalated this issue over to the concerned Google team. I see another Community member has been told that "play some music" has been depreciated by a support rep and I want to clarify that.

I just tried it again (giving the command "Play some music") after. a few hours but without any additional action, i.e. I did not clear the app cache. It worked. So apparently the command has not been deprecated. Who knows.

Good to hear and that was my experience as well. I'll still have the team take a look.

Thanks for that update-

News from the Nest Specialist is this is not a depreciated feature and glad it's working again for you.
