Hello all,
Google Nest Mini (H2C)
Worked fine for over two years without issue. Now, randomly having connectivity issues. It will be functional a solid 30% of the time.
Go up to the bedroom at 8:30 PM, tell google turn the lights on, lights will go on, 9:30 ask her to turn the lights off - no longer connected to Wifi. No such issue with my Google Home.
I have reconfigured my router, done a factory reset, replaced the power supply - nothing has resolved the issue. Any suggestions would be nice.

just for fun try moving it to right next to the wifi router to see what happens

I had the same issue.
I moved the wifi maybe one foot horizontal and one foot vertically closer and that worked.
Still some times occasionally it goes out but not as bad as before.
Maybe it is interference from some kind of electrical appliance in your house or even neighbors
These are the tough to figure out problems because you can't reliably reproduce the failure

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your input, pwagner9999. On which band is your Google Nest device connected? If you’re using 2.4 GHz, try changing the channel to either 1, 6, or 11.
BeardoWeirdo, we appreciate your efforts in taking those steps. Have you tried moving your Google Nest Mini closer to the router just to check if it’s experiencing any interference? Let’s change the DNS server on your router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, then reboot your router and Google Nest Mini. Monitor its behavior and let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Alex

I've tried all of the above other than DNS. It's on the lowest traffic channel but my DNS wouldn't provide issue with a general connection to the local network. If this thing can't connect from the 12 foot distance with drywall in between to the modem you might as well give it an Ethernet port so I can drill a hole. I think the nest mini it just a hunk of trash at this point. I don't know if a firmware change happened but it when from functional to garbage.
