using nest for a parent with dementia

Hello,

I have an older relative who is struggling with dementia, making it quite challenging for him to operate any electronic devices and hear his phone clearly. I am eager to find out if it would be possible to initiate a video call to my relative using a Nest audio without requiring him to accept the call first. Furthermore, I would like to inquire if the sound output would be sufficiently loud for him to hear easily. Would the camera possibly be a viable solution to communicate with him effectively (he won't be able to see me but at least I can dial-in, is the sound loud enough)? It is important that he is not required to perform any actions from his end (not even adjusting the sound).

Many thanks!

Hello AntoineV,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Good questions! I can confirm that the audio of the Google Nest Hub Max is loud enough for video calls. However, you have to touch the phone or mic icon for video calls and communicate via the Nest Hub Max camera. Visit this article to learn more about making video calls on the Nest Hub Max: Make Duo calls with your speakers or displays
