I bought a Chromecast with Google TV specifically to use with Apple TV since I have no other devices that support it. That was litterally the only reason I bought it. It worked briefly but now it constantly says "Network Unavailable" when you load the app. I am an experienced Android user I have tried the following.
Using other apps. All work fine so I conclude there is not a real network issue.
Clearing the app cache
Clearing the Data from the App
Factory resetting the chromecast.
My UK domestic broadband connections is fast stable and entirely standard. I am not even using a VPN.
I found one other thread relating to this but the users problem disappeared by itself in a week so there was no solution given.
I did buy a new Asus router recently but I don't see how that could be related. It has been faultlessly reliable so far.
I have had the issue now for 2 months and short of trying to return the chromecast I am out of ideas
